Matruchus: Well, I wouldn't say there were many strategy games released. A lot of the new games are labeled as strategy games which is true but they really don't fit in to that genre.

Daniel_M: Could you then say which games from the list in your eyes do not fit into that (granted wide) category?
Of course there are more subcategories (like TBS, RTS, 4x strategy, etc.) but they all fall into the strategy genre.
Don't need to think long. Hard West and Invisible Inc. definetly don't fit.

Firstly, those are only two and you wrote "A lot of the new games are labeled as strategy games which is true but they really don't fit in to that genre."

Secondly, I don't know about Invisible Inc. but Hard West is definitely a TBS, so a strategy game. Strategic decisions have to be made and although the game may have other elements to it, strategy/tactics constitute the main part of the gameplay.

Well its more less becoming an interntaional saled day now. I mean its the first year that I see "Black Friday" - english written - in retail commercial advertisement.

One could say the same for any year GOG was releasing games. That doesn't mean they released nothing. Legends of Eisenwald, Tropico 5, X Games and Never Alone are all lovely games people were excited to see, and the X games are also classic ones (older than 10 years), well, most of them.
