Well, I wouldn't say there were many strategy games released. A lot of the new games are labeled as strategy games which is true but they really don't fit in to that genre.

I'll take anything that isn't turn-based, except for Sorcerer King and Fallen Enchantress. I tend to do so much better against enemies in real time, than I do in turn-based games. Turn-based is fun and all, but it just starts to feel like a board game and I end up losing interest if I'm not completely overwhelmed with excitement during.

Agreed, this is exactly the same problem im having with turn based games and why they aren't as fun as rts games.

Could you then say which games from the list in your eyes do not fit into that (granted wide) category?
Of course there are more subcategories (like TBS, RTS, 4x strategy, etc.) but they all fall into the strategy genre.
