If God pulls ANOTHER sale then seriously: Fuck them. Give us Lucasarts games for Christmas or something, not more milking.

Sadly GOG has already stated that there won't be any Lucas Arts releases before next year. I think it was on Facebook, don't have a link to the source right now.

Protoss: Sometimes I really don't understand what's going on at GOG. How can they possibly think that finally adding LucasArts with big fanfare and then not releasing anything else from their catalog for 2+ months would be a good strategy?

cogadh: I would imagine it's probably something on the contract end with Disney. I'm sure the initial releases were meant for Disney to test the waters, see how profits went. Enough in the black, and Disney allows more titles, too much in the red, Disney lets the deal die and we end up with only the first run releases.

There could be other reasons, but that's the only one that seems to make sense. Hype is oversold on the internet these days. People are more likely to say, 'where's the beef?' more than ever. Disney and GOG know that. You have to ride a wave of hype with actual delivery, or otherwise people lose interest and move on to other things. Delays only hurt in the long run.

Hmm, could something be happening at 10:00 AM EST? I remember that the LucasArts games first showed up at that time when they were released.... Dunno, another silly theory :P
