JudasIscariot: I am using GMT + 1 to denote "we are an hour behind the actual Greenwich for which this time zone is named" :D

I am probably doing it wrong though...

Gaunathor: Well, GMT is a fixed time. It doesn't change. The actual time-difference changes, however, due to daylight savings. During summertime, we are 2 hours ahead of GMT, instead of the usual 1 hour. So saying GMT+1 now isn't correct, and can be very misleading.
Sorry, that's an old force of habit stemming from my time in the US as there never was a +2 or +1 added to the local time zones :)

So, for example, Eastern Standard Time, was always Eastern Standard Time instead of EST + 1 or + 2 :)

Still, that doesn't excuse my ignorance :)

Soooo GMT + 2 it is :)

Gaunathor: I think what The-Business is trying to say is, that daylight savings/summertime is currently in effect. Meaning, that we are on GMT+2.

You are, especially since you are actually an hour ahead, not behind ;-)

You didn't address it in the post above. You just said you were an hour behind the actual Greenwich for which the time zone is named, but you're not behind Greenwich, time-wise, you're ahead.

Whether it's +1 or +2 is irrelevant (except if you want to know the actual time of course), the mere fact that it's a positive number means that you're ahead, not behind. That's all I'm saying ;-)

Yes, you are right :) Sorry, I am still in holiday mode so not all cylinders are firing :P

Yes, two hours ahead of GMT :)
I'm always surprised when people don't understand the time zone they live in.

I know my own is particularly easy, but when I understand other people's timezones better than they do I get confused.
I am very disappointed!
Well, the timezone is STILL GMT+1, and then you add an hour of DST. So GMT+1 is correct (and GMT+2 is NOT), as it indicates a FIXED timezone. Then add the hour. Not together XD.

I think everyone knows their time zone very well. Where they have a problem is what time it is in Greenwich.
Maybe GOG is doing a release around their Twitch TV thing today in the nect 6 hours? Maybe some sort of "on air" announcement/launch?
I am just going to call it "we're one hour ahead of the UK" time :D

We are in the same timezone! I never knew, Poland seems like such a far way away.
