tfishell: We've been getting great games but I'm kinda hoping we'll see some fresh action from EA, Ubi, Activision, Squeenix etc.
edit: but que sera sera I suppose
wolfsite: Would be nice to see Mass Effect here. Surprised Ubisoft hasn't released any new games recently as they have been re releasing almost the entire Assassin's Creed series everywhere else.
I think it's getting more and more obvious that most AAA publishers are involved in the "the great DRM conspiracy", enforcing ever more subtle (and not so subtle) DRM on their game through online co-op gameplay, microtransactions and other "pay-to-win" tricks. It seems AAA gaming is getting closer and closer to mobile gaming. As someone who tried (and failed miserably) to get into mobile gaming I see this with sadness.
Good to know that plenty of indie publishers are still supporting DRM-free gaming, though. And GOG seems to be regarded as a good showcase for selling new indie games, with fresh ideas and original game concepts.
