ChrisGamer300: Skyrim LE has a ton of mods not available on SE though so if they release it and has any sense then they could atleast include it as a goodie for those who want the superior version.
Unfortunately, there is no superior version of the game - you either get better mod compatibility with Oldrim or much improved performance with SE.
While better mod support might seem the superior choice, the reality is that performance (and the capability to utilize modern hardware) directly impacts the number of demanding mods that you can use together and the extent of what those mods can add to the game (for example, the number of characters involved in large battles before frame rate tanks).
SKSE directly enables many of the mods which contribute to the continued popularity and sales of the game, and it really is a shame that Bethesda did not work with the SKSE team to implement those functions out-of-box in SE. Whatever the rationale, it gives the impression of taking those modders for granted, assuming they would jump to recreate/adapt the large amount of work they had already put into SKSE.
That being said, SKSE for SE is available now - Is anyone familiar with the current state of mod compatibility with SE in general? It's been a while since I've read anything about it.
Edit: To be clear - I do hope SE is released on GOG with Oldrim included as a bonus goodie.
