Well, it looks like "The Monstrous Winter Sale" got Thursday's game release, just like this.

Nothing. I'm disappointed.

karnak1: There's no way companies like Ubisoft or Bethesda will sell their Assassin's Creed or Dishonored games here, as long as people keep giving big $$$ to stores like Steam.

Guys like me, who only acquire their games on DRM-free stores, are unfortunately the exception, not the rule.
"Supply & Demand" defines the market rules. As some people usually say: "vote with your wallets".

tfishell: It doesn't help that some games here aren't being updated, staining GOG's reputation. I'd buy where the patches come in a reasonable time.
And who's to blame for that?
Is GOG not asking the devs for the updates?
Or are the devs just not bothering to provide the said updates?

It takes two to tango.

What do you mean by that? Are both parties to blame?

rgnrk: They rejected at least Her Majesty's Spiffing (a point&click)...
Is that official? Just saw it DRM-free on Humble Store earlier today.

Yup. The developers who don't provide patches to GOG in a timely manner and GOG for not always being on the lookout for newer patches (and as a result, some patches end up being released only after customers have inquired about them).

OK. I didn't knew that GOG had such a lousy/incompetent update research policy, though.
That's just stupid and unprofessional.

Unless you're a tangerine who's always quick to trump up tripwire charges against your dancing partner. :P

I maybe a poor dancer but to suggest I'm a terrorist or trump-like or even an orange is lies. Lies, I tell you. All I am is a man who has mediocre dancing skills. Just need more practice is all.

agree 100%. borderline inexcusable. i don't expect the same multiplayer or mod or level creator quotent steam has. but being primarily a single player gamer myself (most games here are primarily single player) i expect that part of the game (the main part) to be kept up to date in a timely manner.

Yes, they were officially rejected.
Due to the amount of backers -me included- that opted for a GOG key above any other options, they were going to try again, submitting the final build of the game (the one rejected was a three month old build, from when GOG asked for it). Maybe with that build and if the game gets a good reception it could get accepted. That's, at least, the developers hope. Which, I might add, are extremely nice and are trying the extra mile to please us GOG backer fans.
So this is officially the first thursday without a release?
