My financial situation changed today in a non-major, but pleasantly noticeable way. Still upper middle class, but I'm working on it.

Also my friends and I went digging for geodes in the desert on Saturday. It was a lot of fun and we saw wild horses, and antelopes, and absolutely GIGANTIC jackrabbits. Holy shit, those beasts were enormous. Well, and we also found some geodes despite digging in the wrong place. Next time, though, we know exactly where to find the good ones. I might post some pictures of the ones I found once I get them cut open.

tinyE: AND OF COURSE THEY WON'T DRINK THE WATER. XD We have a 250 ft well that is cleaner than any and all bottled water sold in this country, we checked, but they won't drink it! NO SIR! XD

TARFU: Can personally attest to the fact that the well water I have tasted in Michigan was crystal clear and tasty, IF you could get past the fact that it smelled like rotten eggs due to the (healthy) mineral content. And that was well water up there near where you live.
Just don't drink the tap water in Flint, if you go there.

I'm 800 miles from Flint. :P
The galaxy creep has regressed, as GOG made good on a promise to address our concerns about galaxy bundled installers, and they did so without it being a problem for the people who use galaxy.

You sure? All it looks like to me is that they made the Galaxy download versions take up more room.

I haven't actually tested the installers, yet, but gogrepo is diligently downloading them, still, telling me that the URLs haven't changed, and neither have the installers. It seems they deleted the galaxy installers, made a uniform galaxy installer, and maybe included in it the code for a game you wanted to download right away. Meanwhile, the "classic installers" are on the same page, just below it. Given the reports on galaxy itself saving time and money, and the fact that galaxy is a big deal for the devs, i think this is the compromise we were looking for.
Weird to put it in that column. It's not the fact that Eunice Gayson died, that makes me happy, at all. But it's the fact that news outlets report her death. It's very cute to see a hommage to her everywhere (broadly thanks to a tweet by Barbara Broccoli), because she had such a tiny, almost invisible role in the Bond franchise, and... well, the worlwide nod to her is just very sweet.

Ordered a chain saw today, the Stihl Farm Boss, so I'm feeling exceptionally manly today. It has 'steel' and 'boss' right in the name, so manliness is guaranteed.

We got a Stihl up here! Dat's a good saw!
From seeing my post in the "bitch" topic, I am reminded that there exists a La Mulana randomizer. Again, I don't know whether that's good or bad.
All done moving! Woot!
