For those of you not familiar with BCS, it's just a sports thing. I'm not calling for real life chaos, people running around with chainsaws putting babys on spikes, poking badgers, or stuff like that.

Just good old stupid american football.

Playing Zelda: A Link to the Past (SFC/SNES) and realizing that, after arming the exploration zone glitch (by saving in mid-air), I can actually store it and enter the exploration zone from any indoor area I can reach.

So I was looking at that bill in more detail, and I like it more and more. Two aspects affect me the most, one bad and one good.

The bad is not too bad. They made itemization not worth it (because we can't write off state taxes, property taxes, etc. anymore) and got rid of personal exemptions. This is fairly insignificant, because they doubled the standard deduction, however. I will still lose a bit, but not all that much, it'll just increase my taxable income by a few thousand.

The good bit is really good though! The $70,000 to $160,000 tax bracket will be taxed at 24%. Compare it with this year's tax brackets of $37,950 to $91,900 (taxed at 25%) and $91,900 to $191,650 (taxed at 28%.) Woot!

Hopefully the House and the Senate will reconcile whatever minor differences they still have and this gets passed.

I'm not making ANYMORE political statements in here and I'M NOT going to use this forum as a soapbox anymore. It's annoying on both ends, as much coming from myself as anyone, and I'm not going to keep being part of that, unless ranting about a game or a movie or a song or telling a dirty joke, or posting pics of Lego porn constitutes being on a soapbox. :P

Just wanted to get that out, and I put it in here because it will no doubt be a good thing for the forum if, even just one person, lightens up with his flag waving, and that's a reason for us all to be happy. :D
