lanipcga: Do you enjoy swimming or surfing? If not, then maybe beaches aren't your cup of tea. I've lived in Hawaii all my life, and while I don't swim or surf, I enjoy relaxing and gazing out at the ocean. It's a shame that I don't head out to the beach more often. It's currently getting chillier and rainier over here, so I'm not sure I'd urge anyone to book a Hawaiian vacation right away.
What are some activities you'd consider mentally-stimulating?
Have you considered Las Vegas?
I do like swimming and snorkeling, but these activities, fun as they are, last a few hours tops. And yea, I'm certainly not above staring at the ocean and relaxing, but that too can't last very long.
I like learning the most, but also exploring or searching for something, physical activities, and, of course, experiencing something new. I equally enjoyed the British Museum, climbing a mountain in Utah, gathering forest mushrooms in Estonia, and walking around the old city in Jerusalem. Each of these takes all day, which is how I like it.
And yea, I've been to Vegas, but since I don't actually get excited by gambling it's a sort of place that I'd only visit once. Plus it's a 6 hour drive from me, so not really a cool vacation spot.
I appreciate the idea, though! Keep 'em coming! =)
