Jake slept in this morning, he usually sleeps with his li'l itty bitty tongue sticking out, but every time I go to take a pic he slips it back in.

I'll eventually get him though.

Today, Trump's phone was a hot-line. He talked with Mr. Putin and agreed to coordinate and cooperate, on eradicating ISIS together! Can't wait for fireworks and party time, wheee!!! Someone fetch me a tower of pop-corn and a bucket of cola, i can't miss the show of the millenium! Pew, pew, bang, boom! Can't wait!

Hearing that a judge has imposed a stay on part of Trump's executive order, allowing those who were in transit at the time of the order to enter the US.

Also, seeing how many people are taking the stance that the order is bad and un-american, including some Republican politicians.

Also, that the ACLU has received so many donations today that their website started having trouble.

The irony being that the American CLU is getting donations because of the Exec Order imposed on <drumroll> non-Americans.

But yes, on its face the EO has problems. If there's a silver lining, I hope this forces Congress to get off its ass to do what Trump earlier said needed to be done: improve the vetting process. Which, in turn, hopefully leads to solutions for the broader immigration issues. Permanent, Congress-passed solutions, not EOs.

Not thrilled with him tossing around EOs that he bitched about Obama using so much, but there's potential for them to spark changes that improve the situation with various long-standing problems. Time will tell, not holding my breath.

Happy-ish since we had an impromptu meeting with the accountant yesterday, while picking up paperwork. I'm not totally botching the books, which means A) I at least somewhat understand what the hell I'm doing, and B) I don't need to pay them to fix things.

I like these accountants so much that I've convinced half the family to use them. And they're equally happy with the service. So : )

The EO was purely a political move, if he was really concerned about terror he would have banned people from countries like Egypt, Pakistan, UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Their citizens have killed thousands of Americans, I don't recall the countries listed being responsible for any.

The reason he didn't include countries like Egypt, Pakistan, UAE and Saudi Arabia is because he has business interest there.
