Watching the color drain from the faces of the mainstream media whores when they had to report that Donald Trump had locked up the election and will be the next president.

That made me very, very happy. I'm not proud of it, but I have to admit I was bordering on being giddy, and me and giddy don't hang out very often.

That made me cringe a litle.

But what made me happy was the fact htat field work for one of my classes lasted just half hour today and I was free from 10 am till tomorrow at noon.

Haha - the talking heads exploding... great stuff. Whether or not one wanted this election result, I think a lot of us can appreciate these "experts" getting their comeuppance.

We are adopting another cat this weekend to keep company to our senior lady. We went to the local animal shelter and found an excitable ten-month-old lad looking for a new home, so we closed the deal on the spot.

The old cat will have a bit of getting used to the youngster, of course, but she needs the company.

Been in recharge mode. The politics of this place tends to drain my batteries. There's only so much hoo-ha one can take before having to take a knee.

I'm a bit tired of seeing threads about weather, food or games and every other post is 'blah blah blah but at least Donald Trump isn't president!' How one can associate the election with recipes or the World Series is beyond me.

I avoid those threads, though they also creep into happy places.
