HereForTheBeer: Binge-shopping at Half Price Books. Got a love-hate relationship with that place. Glad the closest one is a couple hours away.

A few movies, a few albums, and around 20 books between the two of us.
I hear ya about the love-hate relationship, I have two used-books stores within a 30 mins. drive from me. I like to take my nephews (ages 11 & 12) with me, books are about the only thing that gets them away from the playstation/ tv/ laptop. It's not unusual, after going to both stores, for us to come home with 50-75 books altogether.

I attended a local fall festival. It had a mini-Octoberfest which included a beer section. I had about three or four amber lagers from a nearby brewery and while it may not have been as good as Samuel Adams Octoberfest, it was still very good. I was pretty tipsy but I was not driving so it was all good.

I also entered a couple of raffles and enjoyed some pulled pork and beef as well as a pizza cone. I also ran into an acquaintance from my high school years who is a real MILF these days. Unfortunately, she's married so I could not ask her out.

UN Department black-sheeping Russia for Syria bombing. I was so moved from their "equality", honest/sincere care for human pain and suffering, that i IMMEDIATELY started searching for their decrees against America, for the Iraq and Afganistan invasions and bombings with uranium in Kossovo, near my hood. Strangely, i could find no such similar negative report of the organization, on anything that is the handiwork of american shitheads! "Impartial saints", people working for UN Department, the lot of them. Just joking... Base fucktoys crackhead junkies sado psychos the lot of them, exactly like Jolie!

I just went to an event where, among other things, somebody was showing off a giant Game Boy. It even worked too (the game running was Tetris). Unfortunately, actually playing it felt a bit awkward, as the controls were a bit too large.

(Didn't try soldering again this year; then again, I don't know if they even had that station this year, as I didn't see it.)
For little over a week now across the entire country there have been protests on university campuses demanding free university education, ranging from disruptive to outright destructive. The protesters have already burned down several properties and caused a lot of damage, but on the campus where I work they thankfully haven't done much more than to empty rubbish bins, chant and generally shout at other students. The majority of students are getting really fed up with this, which led to a glorious sight this morning:
A few protesters made a big mess in front of the library by emptying rubbish bins, but once they left a large group of non protesting students got together and picked up all the garbage with their bare hands. I should've taken a photo, but I couldn't help but to join in and help clear up the mess. Got some nasty goo on my hand though from a discarded fast food wrapper :P
A month ago I ordered a new internet connection from another ISP.

Today the connection was switched from my old DSL 2000 to this new DSL 50000. And it's a whole new world! Websites open almost instantly (at least the ones I tried so far) and installing/downloading games with Galaxy is much faster!
DAMN, I LOVE THE LIFE ON THE FAST LANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111111111111elevenone

Seriously awesome day yesterday, found a near new King's Furniture leather recliner 3 seater lounge and two single seaters for $300 from the Salvos.

And they threw in a nice wooden coffee table.

Tonight I shall be relaxing and reclining, reclining and relaxing, might even sleep there reclined.

This couch is SO comfortable.

I want to lay naked on it and film a porno with it.

It's funny to me how goggers are always nicer to each other when there's a big sale going on. I'm no sociologist, but I'm sure there's something to that. That makes me chuckle, and so I guess that makes me happy.
Gog sales! I lurk in waiting and anticipating for my wishlist items to go on sale...
Just had a really satisfying morning dump.

There's something so calming about shitting first thing in the morning, and it feels so good to be shit-free for the rest of the day.

Other time of day shits aren't anywhere near as satisfying, and a middle of the night shit is awful.

So I always enjoy my morning shits, they make me happy.

Trying to install Win7 on the Intel NUC I bought a few weeks back. It's a USB 3.0-only device, and Win7 doesn't have its own USB 3.0 drivers built into the setup process. So I was stuck, as the keyboard and mouse wouldn't work once the setup routine took over from the BIOS.

Internet to the rescue! Cinched the yellow sash before performing some Duckduck-fu, and found the process for sticking the relevant drivers into the installation process. Installing Win7 now.

Really glad that the internet is there to help us find answers and procedures for things we would never be able to figure out on our own. Sometimes takes a bit of digging to sort the wheat from the chaff, but there's usually a solution if you make a good search.

New gotta figure out how to install the drivers into Win7 itself. Back to my search!
