Allright then: The movie is
The Brothers Lionheart, a Swedish movie from 1977 based on Astrid Lindgren's book by the same name. She's perhaps better known for having written the books about Pippi Longstocking. Not so hard for a Scandinavian. Even though the author is Swedish, her books are something of an institution in Norway as well.
Edit: About the Italian title interpretation: I was thinking the translation would be something like
I fratelli Corleone which would have made it mob-ish. But my Italian being almost non-existent, I should have suspected it was not a bulls-eye: The actual translation according to GT is
il cuore del leone dei fratelli. It would be interesting to hear what an Italian has to say about it. Dogmaus?
