lv426: Screen as promised
World War I + Banquet, I would say Joyeux Noël? I don't know the English title, maybe "Merry Chrismas"?

Yes, that is the film

The answer to the clue was Paul McCartney - Pipes of Peace.

Your turn :)

Thank you Exhodus, I like seeing the different names that films are called around the world, that we all know. Like how Haute Tension, is called Switchblade Romance in the UK.

I know, it makes no sense at all, in the context of what the film is about, at least the UK release is in French with English subs on it, I might not understand the language, but I can still read the subs & that way, you don't get the bad voice-overs that are normally associated with re-dubs :)

Have a good evening Exhodus

And again, like you I can't watch an English movie in French language either, if I do I'm totally out of the movie!
And if you want something that makes no sense, in French we sometimes translate an English title with an OTHER english title. For the French market, yes.
The first exemple which comes to me right now is Frank Henenlotter's movie Bad Biology, which has been translated in our country as Sex Addict. There are others here. (But I love Horribilis, the title AND the movie!)

Anyway, good evening too!!
