It goes a little wonky sometimes because a movie isn't guessed or someone disappears after correctly guessing, but generally the policy is correct guesser posts next, but, by all means, go ahead with the one you did since you did, that's cool by me!

I didn't think of a movie in particular, maybe some Hou Hsiao-Hsien from the 90's. Because on the screenshots provided, there was the classic outfit "short+white shirt" due to the local heat. Also the way the second screen was photographed and composed looks a lot like those Asian "social drama". The cars in the background are undefined but could have been from the 90's in this area. And naturally, the tone skin could have been an Eastern Asian as they can have some natural tan.

Now I feel bad for calling the movie old.
I see that it made it harder to find the answer, not easier.
