One of the first films I remember watching without a happy ending, something that blew my mind at the time. Also the movie that started my childhood crush on Maggie Cheung.

Actually, bad endings were quite usual in the HK cinema, that's why I love them, it's more powerful ^o^

And yeah, Maggie won a lot of hearts ;)

Well, you can't just watch it backwards backwards. You have to segment it into blocks and then watch the later blocks forward to watch it backwards. ;)
