toxicTom: I know only the first one, and only by title. I would say, I'm gonna look into those, but I'm already waaay behind in my movie backlog. With two kids and full time work (and games) I just don't manage watching 2+ hour movies very often.
But I was somehow reminded of The Mission by Johnny To. (Beautiful) People pointing guns. Only a few shots fired. Great movie.
tinyE: They are chick flicks, you don't need to look them up. :D
Damn and I really fell for this. The titles surely don't suggest this. Thought they were movies of people pointing guns, but not shooting. A devious trap?
I'm really happy with the tastes of my wife. She also likes The Mission, Shutter Island everything Joss Whedon, some things Tarantino and even Riddick. Couldn't get alot from Fight Club unfortunately, but maybe it's really a "man's movie".
Maybe it's asked to much: ""Remove everything that has no relevance to the story. If you say in the first chapter that there is a rifle hanging on the wall, in the second or third chapter it absolutely must go off. If it's not going to be fired, it shouldn't be hanging there." Anton Chekhov. (Most of the time shortended to "If there's a gun, it will be fired".)
