Haha, I recognized Denis Lavant and took a guess.

cohmafia: Haha, I recognized Denis Lavant and took a guess.
It was more than a good guess - the actor is the right one, the character is the right one, the director is the right one. It's just not quite the movie I had in mind, as the character appears in another one, too. But it should be easy to find out from there. Hint: It does not take place in Paris. ;)

Here's another still from the movie in question (just to stir up a little confusion, hehe).

As if that character was used in another film. I didn't see it yet but I'm gonna guess Tokyo. I wonder how it is compared to his other films. Mauvais sang is so awesome.

Tokyo! is the correct answer. It's not a full-length feature movie by Leos Carax though, it's actually composed of three shorts and the one by Carax is only a third of it. The other two shorts are by Michel Gondry and Bong Jon-hoo.

Your turn!
An awesome and really influential movie that unfortunately not many know about.

Nothing? I guess I'll post another pic with some hints.

It's an America film made in the 50s. It is considered a major inspiration for Cassavetes and Truffaut.

"The 400 Rosemary's Babies"
I already disqualified myself by cheating yesterday, but thanks for the recommendation! :)
Alright one more photo. If there's still no answer after like 15 hours then I guess you guys are free to cheat.

It was made in 1953 by multiple directors. The main director went on to make 2 more films. It's being distributed by Kino. It has an oscar nomination for best writing.

Alright I guess I'll give up, for the 2nd time in a row :( The film was Little Fugitive. Whoever posts next can do the next guess.
Alright, this is obviously not a shot from the movie, but a representation of it. Screen shots would make it a dead giveaway.

Did you find that picture or did you actually sit down and dress up three cupcakes?

You are correct my Kiwi friend. You have the floor. :D

EDIT: I apologize if the term "kiwi" came off as offensive. From what I can tell, it is not meant to be derogatory, but if that's the way it sounded I'm sorry.
