A game from my (very early) childhood, we used to play it at a friend's house, I think we've managed to go up to 5th screen or so. All of us younger than 10, screen resolution/colors weren't helping, plus we had no idea of what a manual was.

I'm 100% sure it's one of the Last Ninja games, unfortunately I never got very far in any of them.

Yeap, current screen is from the Amstrad CPC where I fist encountered it, though some of the other versions were more pleasantly looking. I may have to try and find it at some point, to see if it's a bit easier now that I'm older.
