All right, it's Starfighter 3000, though I think sometimes the 3000 is left out, and/or "Starfighter" is split into two words.

Yep, that's the one. And it's the RISC OS version I first played (well, the demo of it, anyway). 3DO had the best version, but it wasn't quite the same game. PC DOS had a port of the 3DO version but the graphics took a hit. Full version of the RISC OS version was made available for free so it can be emulated.
