I vaguely recall playing a game that looked a lot like that ... maybe around 2009-2011. But IIRC that was a demo after which I decided to not get the game because I wasn't having fun in it.

Anyway, I think more hints are needed :)

Huh, seems I was wrong - it wasn't a demo, it was the full game, and I played and even finished it in 2013 with 8/25 achievements, lol.
