Man, Simon was such a huge asshole in that one it completely ruined my enjoyment of the game. Even Deponia's Rufus is a decent guy by comparison.

My problem with the Simon the Sorceror games was that they always seemed to be a few years behind the curve, so their verb selection and control was always clunky to me.

Yeah, I played Simon 2 recently and, while I enjoyed the puzzles, the way they wrote the main character put me off. And those sexist comments wouldn't have been considered "humor" even in the 90s...

As for the new one... no idea!

No that's not your hint, its not posted yet, that's one of my few memories of StarCraft's plot. Although thanks for reminding of Vanquish, I installed that over Christmas and not played it yet.
