Well, that's the kind of game where it's almost embarrassing to admit I know what it is, but from what I remember from Jim Sterling's videos, it must be either "Age of Barbarian" or "Arena: An Age of Barbarians Story".

Age of Barbarian it is, a "Mostly Positive" game according to Steam user reviews, its more like a cheap 80's B movie, lots of violence, blood, guts and pointless gratuitous nudity.

Originally I guessed Wing Commander Prophecy, but then googled to find out that black captain's name and found out he only showed up in WC 3 & 4.

The game is about grappling your way to freedom from an island where you're kept as slaves (though after the opening cutscene you never actually see a single living person besides the woman who guides you and gives you objectives. Spoiler alert for the screenshot
