No, not Wario Land 2 nor another Wario game.
The game is Run & Gun. Not Jump & Run.

Contrary to common belief, not everyone wishes to partake in these forum games, even if they know the solution;)

I'd say if someone's hinting at them knowing the solution, that is partaking in a way. On the other hand, I can also understand if people don't want to take the next turn, because they might become the next ones who are left hanging for days. ;P The game's not much fun that way, IMO. There's always the option to leave your turn for whoever wants it though.

The "left hanging for days" part can actively be countered, by giving more than just one hint a day, or by adding written hints to the screenshots, by giving very obvious hints, etc.
After all, there's no rule on what kinds of hints you give and/or how often you give them.

And the "not much fun" part: we had one or two instances lately, where the questioner, after not even waiting 24 hours, simply gave the solution away...I'd say, that's definitely taking the fun out of the game.

Not every game will instantly get recognized, give the people some time to come up with a solution...

And as I wrote another time (I'm not sure if in this thread or under another forum game):
if the screenshot you give can simply be picture-searched (as was the case here!)...most people are usually very hesitant to give the solution, because they fear that others may think "oh, s/he didn't KNOW the solution - s/he simply googled it!"
That's human nature... :)

Really? That's sound rather far-fetched to me as an explanation pertaining to more than just one or two single individuals, but then again, what do I know ...

I think the key here is communication. If people would like more hints they should say so, but that's obviously not the case if someone (or several people) already know(s) the answer and just prefer(s) someone else to give it. Personally I think the game is more fun as something fast paced, not something the current poster has to keep on their mind for days, always checking for replies, even a week later. In any case, if noone posts anything, it just looks like there's a general disinterest in solving the puzzle or participating in the game.

Dunno, maybe it would help to establish some rules like when to post more hints and when to reveal the solution, so that even if the game stalls, its continuation is ensured? Just a suggestion.
