Finally got there ... ^_^

Tegel's Mercenaries. Just watched some gameplay footage on YouTube - hadn't heard of it before, but it looked fun!

Tegel's Mercenaries.
That's right....your turn.
Righty-ho, I'm not sure how well this'll work ... but here's some audio. Can you guess the game from the music?

Listen on YouTube, here.

A few additional clues:
* The game was released on the Amiga and MS-DOS.
* The developer created MANY significant games over the course of their presence in the industry. Perhaps most recognizable today are the GTA series and Red Dead Redemption - though they used to go by a different name.

I'll add screenshots later if no-one recognizes the music. ^_^

Nope...but KB is pretty close at the year of release of the game we're looking for.

Looks like the map from Hillsfar but it has been flipped left to right

Hillsfar is correct.

Regarding the mirrored image: also correct - you have to be a little "deceitful", or some people will simply do a picture search for the answer.

And that's no fun for anyone involved.

Here's the rest of my prepared screenshots: numbers 1 and 4 are cropped/ tinkered with, numbers 2, 3 and 5 are unmirrored - thus a picture search will give the game away.

But if you mirror them... ;)

I realkly like Hillsfar, still have my disc copy from late 80's when I bought it on C64 and it is still working as it should. Its the game that actually got me into the computer D&D stuff alongside Bards Tale which I still have on tape on C64.

You can usually spot when someone has used reverse image look up to get something. Its why I now take screenshots of stuff I play and use those just like this next one

That screenshot reminds me of Legendary, except I don't think Legendary was viewed from 3rd person. . .

I also still have my C64 floppy disc of "Hillsfar" sitting on my shelf.

But for me, the game that introduced me to (home-)computer D&D was "Pool of Radiance", followed by "Curse of the Azure Bonds".
Then came "Hillsfar".
Another screenshot

It is a decent enough game that came out on prior generation of consoles and PC, quite underrated at the time given it came out around the same time as 2 other 3rd person shooters
