Cadaver747: Is it a scroller shooter or a strategy game? Or something entirely different? Looks like Amiga game port to DOS made by Bitmap Brothers.
Matewis: It's not a scroller shooter no, but I thought to myself it quite looked like on when I posted it. It is however pretty zoomed in part of a screenshot. Matewis

Game developer is a well known company, also a publisher. It went bankrupt and was sold to Atari. There is at least one game from that developer available on GOG, that game is about some horrifying things and evil and such.

The game from GOG catalog has very similar short abbreviation as Rise of the Triad. The game from my guess list has Roman "II" figure in its name.

Gremlin Graphics released some classics in the day. ^_^
Well, this one likely won't be especially hard ... but note that this is the lesser-known PC game, rather than either of the better-known Amiga/ST originals. I'd love to see this on GOG someday.
Edit: Added a less-cropped screenshot, in case it helps.

RedRabbitRun: note that this is the lesser-known PC game, rather than either of the better-known Amiga/ST originals.
I've never played either version, and the weapons displayed on your second screenshot threw me off the track (pardon the pun) at first, since the weapons were not displayed on the gaming screen of the Amiga game that I had found first...but after watching a video of the Amiga original, and then doing some extra diggin', I can only come to the conclusion that this is the PC remake of Super Cars II, aka: Supercars International.RedRabbitRun

BOOM! Exactly correct. ^_^ Super Cars I & II also shared the same publisher as the previous game in this thread, Gremlin Graphics (Supercars International went through Hit Squad) - though the developer was the somewhat legendary-in-the-day Magnetic Fields (also having developed Kikstart I and II, Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, plus sequels and lots of others). Your turn! -_^

It's not a game that I'm familiar with, unfortunately - but hopefully someone will work it out soon enough. ^_^
The in-game shot makes me think of a sci-fi take on Ultima VI or VII. What platform / OS was this on, out of interest? DOS?
