I can see how that might be annoying... but that is a pretty recognizable sprite.
I agree with him though, censor the UI or whatever, but we often need more than a few random pixels to make it fair.
If someone posted a sprite of a main character like you did, that's one thing, but a 3 inch by 1 inch block of a background from an open world game can, and does, get annoying quick
