Well, I guess a little clue is in order: as you may have noticed, the main character is coming out of a phone booth (and no, it's not Dr. Who)

D'Oh I didn't notice you'd called the attachment that! The only characters, except for Dr Who I associate with telephone boxes are Superman and Bill and Ted and this guy doesn't look much like either of them...

Wow, I thought no one would guess it :)
You're right, of course. I played it a lot back in the day, when the Amstrad CPC game library was really limited; not only it features the time travelling phone booth but it even rips off the DrWho tune in the starting credits:

I don't know why the "Roland" naming, maybe they couldn't get hold of the rights, or perhaps they didn't even try to :)
Anyway, it's your turn.

Roland naming comes from what the Amstrad CPC was codenamed during development. Development name was originally Arnold and the Roland naming is an anagram of that. Just a shame that the character model is so inconsistent throughout all the games he starred in.You're right, of course. Ah an Amstrad exclusive title! No wonder I was struggling! You're right, of course. I played it a lot back in the day, when the Amstrad CPC game library was really limited; not only it features the time travelling phone booth but it even rips off the DrWho tune in the starting credits:

Apparently 'Roland' was a character Amstrad were trying to make popular at one point, there's another Roland game anyway:

If you head here :
http://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=accueil
and enter roland in the search box a lot of the games are listed there, I don't believe it is all of them though.

Well I didn't so much guess it as I Google-fu'd it. You're right, of course. I played it a lot back in the day, when the Amstrad CPC game library was really limited; not only it features the time travelling phone booth but it even rips off the DrWho tune in the starting credits:

Which was still quite difficult, but after a bit I saw which country you were from and I remembered the Amstrad CPC being quite popular in Spain. And I came across an old Dr. Who game that reminded that 'phone booth' is a primarily American term whilst in the UK they used 'phone box'.
Then I had the correct search terms :P
Anyhoo, here's a game I came across whilst searching for 'your' game.

As it has been my turn just before, I won't say it unless no one comes up with the right answer.
Very interesting, I grew up on the 8-Bit era, and although my home computer was a C64, I had a close friend who had an Amstrad, so I have played a lot of those games. I love learning about all that retro stuff, thanks.
