The screenshot clearly comes from ZX Spectrum. The layout of the bottom part makes me believe that I played C64 version of the game...

Zacron: Captain Comic?
Nope.

Indeed, recognisable from the high-intensity colour palette vs. the traditionally pastel palette used by the C64. The C64 version of the game does use the same scoreboard layout.

Ah yes, Gremlin Graphics, visually on the Spectrum it is more detailed and does actually play better. I have it on tape for the C64 but yet to lay my hands on the Spectrum version. Its a decent game but back in the day it was overlooked, kept in the Dark as it were.......

Hint: The game is named after a very old book.
Bible Games!
I could take a guess with that hint...but if someone else knows the game firsthand I'd rather they take it.

...I figure I'll let the Sun set on it before I post if no one else has :)

Smannesman: Bible Games!
Older book actually. See gamefreak's post for another hint.
Art of War

gamefreak's hints are about as subtle as a heart attack. :P

tinyE: Art of War
Full title is The Ancient Art of War, but you are correct. Please remember to hit "Reply" so we get a notification and get back to you sooner ;)

Your turn.
Sorry about the "reply" mishap; haven't had a pc in a week and I'm a little screwed up here. :P

Anyway the first game I ever bought was "Aztec". A week later I went in and purchased "Maniac Mansion" along with this classic title. :D
