The game looks interesting and I bookmarked it to look into it sometime too. From now on, I will just post whatever game crosses my mind first.

Wait a minute.. you mean I posted something old that you don't recognize? :D

It is a varied game from a renowned developer that at least to me was really fun to play.

It's not C64, is it? ;) I think I can recognize most C64 titles (but definitely not all of them) and a lot of old PC games, mainly from mid 90s and your game looks like late 80s / early 90s and that was the time C64 was the main gaming machine for me. I've never seen your game...

Yeah, I did notice that from the games you post. You're right about the time period.

Similar here, I am able to recognize plenty of good PC games from the early nineties up to late 1995 or so. After that, unless given a hint, I know very little.

I do actually know this one, I started it tons of times because it was so different from other games and interesting.
I would also fail at it pretty quick though, I'll vote for it.

patthefatrat: I'm looking for a game which I believe is either from the late 80s or the early 90s. It's a fantasy/medieval Jump'n'Run in which you could open cages or locked cells and release other characters to accompany your hero. I really can't remeber if it was PC or console or an arcade machine, but the grahics were pretty good for it's time (meaning something resembling 256-color VGA). It was a 2D-Sidescroller. I think you could also pick up different sets of weapons, though I'm not quite sure about that.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Sounds like Magic Sword, which was in the arcades, and I know it also was released to the SNES

Another one very similar was Black Tiger, also an arcade game.
