If only I had ventured to play more Spectrum games back in 80s...

Yeah, this one came out on the Spectrum only

Funnily enough I picked this one as I got it in a HUGE bundle of original tapes I bought a few weeks back, its a fun game even though it is REALLY tough and you are lucky to get off the first screen. It works on my 128k +2A machine even though on the front it states 48k only, I have to set the machine to 48k mode and load it in that way, if I don't it resets halfway through loading.

Nobody got my clever hint so I'll just post the answer: SpecVenture

I thought you knew when you mentioned Spectrum, hence why I also stated Spectrum only!

Damned fine game if you ask me and worth firing up on an emulator if you don't have the original hardware, I would recommend looking into ZXSpin emulator, its a really good one to use and is completely free. Most games are allowed distribution on World of Spectrum, ones that say Distribution Denied there is current rights holders have said no you aren't allowed to supply the files.

Either way, your go mate :)

I never had Spectrum, I used to play this game with my friend who had it. It was pretty nice but hard as nails AFAIR

The next one got a remake several years ago

Pyjamarama, though not sure if almost a decade qualifies as just several years. ^_^

Right and right ;) I honestly thought it was 2009 or 2008 but now I've checked it up and it was actually 2005. Shame one me ;) Anyway, it's your turn
Here goes.
Maybe it's a bit obscure, but it shouldn't be too hard to mine out the answer.

I didn't really expect someone to know it anyway. ^_^
Your turn now.
Another relatively unknown title, but with a rather recognizable engine. Figure out what engine this game uses and you'll be able to find the game on mobygames.

Looking at those jets it something to do with Vietnam or Korea. That narrows it down! :P
