I said "skipping through" because also: I don't want any "spoilers".

dtgreene: My stance on spoilers: If a game can be ruined by a spoiler, it wasn't a good game in the first place.

(I *might* make exceptions for puzzle and troll games, however.)
I'm not talking about "ruining the game", but about anything that I'd like to experience myself for the first time when I'm actually playing the game itself.

None that I'm aware of. :(
Only thing I can think of that might help is to use the secondary trigger - building a research module, ejecting the ore canister, upgrading your workers and surviving the raider attack.
After that it should flag 3 sensor "echoes" to investigate.

Great graphics and presentation, it even scales the UI on high resolutions (1440P). I just started it (again), so I can't say much more....

And I found an out-of-bounds glitch. Granted, it doesn't get you anything (especially since this microgame, as I like to call it, consists of just going around and talking to people), but it's still a (minor) glitch nevertheless.

(By the way, this game is free (as in beer), web-based (so you don't even have to install anything; just visit the page) and is only a few minutes long.)
The original Splinter Cell, I just last night blew up the trucks with nukes.
Still playing Prey (2017) which I picked up here in the last big sale. I don't remember having this much fun with many other games. It's like Deus Ex (the original) but even better. I know, it sounds impossible that a game better than the original Deus Ex would get made in the last 5 years, even more impossible that it would be a AAA game... but here it is.

I was going to add "published by Bethesda" after AAA game but I stopped and here's why. I think Bethesda gets too much undeserved hate. Sure, the direction they took the Fallout franchise is not the one I would have opted for. And yes, I expect Elder Scrolls 6 to be just a big power fantasy sandbox with no real game mechanics - even more so than Skyrim.

BUT when you look at the dystopian landscape of AAA publishers active today, Bethesda is easily a contender for the top position for the simple fact they still publish really good videogames like Prey.

Absolutely - I've always been a fan of Bethesda as a publisher - they release a ton of great games (Dishonored, the new Prey etc) and have always done so even going back to console. I was even a fan of their new take on Fallout going back to FO3 (the "turn based" VATS was pretty damn cool add to a "first person shooter"!). And this is coming from an old school "heyday" PC gamer.

The fact that they've shown a willingness to release "new(ish)" games here lately has only made me like them even more and I've picked up my fair share of their releases to show support (and hopefully keep getting stuff here!).

I've been juggling Deus Ex Human Revolution and getting in runs in the roguelite portion of Tainted Grail.

Tainted is actually a cool little game. The early going is a lot about picking your fights to build your character. The card combat is fast, fun and responsive to your choices. I still sort of suck, but I get further along almost every run. I can't wait to play the campaign when the game comes out of early access. But if you're into try, die, try again runs in the vein of FTL there's a lot to like with the existing mode right now.

I have yet to dip into the campaign trial (and won't - I don't want to spoiler it before the actual release) but it sure stands on its own as is right now, just as a roguelite. And it looks like they're going to continue to add classes and content to that version as the it moves along the development path.

I'm usually not one to fire up my In-Dev games early (I usually buy them to support to a project I'm excited about and then put them on the back burner waiting for full release to get the "real" experience) but this one had a neat idea for an early access release that I'm on board with - almost feels like two games in one.

The one main series TES game that, to my understanding, was released in a reasonable state, was Skyrim, but they ruined it in the 1.2 update (which is the whole reason Steam introduced the beta channel for releases).

(By the way, I do hope that someone has found a way to preserve Skyrim 1.2, as that particular version is of historical interest, even if I wouldn't recommend that version seriously.)

(To be clear, I haven't played Skyrim due to the lace of a DRM-free release, and it's less interesting to me due to the lack of the ability to create custom spells.)

When I'm not playing any of the aforementioned, I usually dip in and out of some of me other stuff.
I started a month ago vanilla Dark Souls 2 for the first time. The combat is little bit clunky compared to DS1, but with the exception of Shrine of Amana, I am enjoying the game, even though my deatch count is ridiculously high :-D
I just found some English subtitles* for Command & Conquer 3 TW + KW. This was the only thing missing in this very polished game.
The last RTS I played was Starcraft 2... but this one is definitely harder!


*Too bad that they're not displayed in-mission.
