I'm giving Sunless Sea a try for the first time. It's...a bit overwhelming for this lifelong landlubber.

Well, gaming is a waste of time anyway, so congratulations on quitting.
But don't replace it with another addiction, like smoking crack or doing crystal meth.

World of Warships - recouping coal and FXP after getting Thunderer and Friesland.

Cold Waters - been meaning to get into it but without a hands-on combat tutorial it's pretty daunting. Even for a player of naval games, this modern sub sim has too many game mechanics that are too alien because you wouldn't find them anywhere else. The game could really benefit from some more handholding to be more approachable.

Kerbal Space Program - also daunting but at least it has plenty in the way of help and tutorials. But then it lacks guidance and focus because there's no mission structure outside the career mode, and no achievements or anything else to aim for. It's mostly a physics sandbox.

Realpolitiks - Playing as Italy and aiming for 2075 for the achievement. Game's okay, a little rough but not bad for a shorter, simpler grand strategy experience.

Divinity Original Sin - Charming game. A little too much going on with the story all at once, and a few too many extraneous game mechanics. The trait system and Rock-Paper-Scissors are really not needed.

"Iratus: Lord of the Dead" - Quite an awesome game. But only 3 levels out of 5 at the moment. :0

"The Council" - Only started, but game seems really interesting. :O

Warcraft 2 (the DOS version) and Pokémon Blue.

Playing Age of Empires 2 HD Barbarossa Campaign, the last mission "The Emperor Sleeping".

I can win and end the mission any time I want, but I'm gonna delay it. I'm planning to use this mission to unlock that Will Wonders Never Cease achievement: have constructed 50 wonders through your campaigns. Finishing a wonder in this mission doesn't end the mission. There are so much space to build that many wonders and thanks to 2 relics in my possession and the Teuton's economy, it's going to be easy.

I'm also close to unlocking One Thousand Castles achievement: have constructed 1000 castles. I love spamming castles with the Teutons. Their Crenellations unique tech is awesome, giving your castles' already deadly arrows with more range! In the next mission I'm gonna play the Franks and spam castles thanks to their cheaper castles. It's so much fun playing the Teutons and the Franks.

Just finished Ultimate General Civil War as the Union- gonna try the Southern side now.

Ran in Avadon The Black Fortress into a brickwall when reaching the endfight. This endboss is just damn unfair and not fun.

Strife - Veteran Edition

I never finished the original version, and am playing through this one.....seems nice(if a tad too bright now), but I dislike how they cut out the bad dialog choices(game ending ones).

Anyone else know what else they cut or changed?

A game of Master of Magic with eco-necromancer hobbits (Tlaloc leading the Halflings) and trying not to die too much in Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.

Playing Sudden Strike 4 and replaying the Brothers in Arms games.

I'm amazed at how satisfying the Brothers in Arms games are after all these years. Yes, the graphics of the first two games are a bit basic, but the atmosphere and gameplay is still top notch. Makes me sad that a series of this quality has ended up playing second fiddle to Borderlands and has devolved into a series of mobile games. Supposedly a true 4th installment has been in development since 2017. I certainly hope so.

Mass Effect 2 (currently playing the horizon mission)
Pros:
- I actually like the new direction better. It's an Action/Adventure/Immersive Sim, while ME1 was more Action "RPG light".
- The side missions are a lot better than those in ME1. The DLC are actually quite good. A bit of a surprise... my experience with past Bioware DLC (DA1/2, ME1) is that they range from bad to mediocre.
Cons:
- I hate it when there's no map available (most of the time, in missions).
- Still no direct control over your 2 squad members. Selecting their weapons feels meaningless if I can't use/test them myself.
- Selecting squad members for a mission --- How am I to know who I'd choose best when I don't know what I'll encounter there? (same issue as the first game).

All in all, I like this second instalment better!

Endless Legend playing as Wild Walkers, Broken Lords, and next to try is probably Roving Clans.
