After a summer vacation in which I hardly played any games but for a few stints of Baldur's Gate, I did some first-player shooting yesterday in various campaigns: on the PS3 I made progress in Call of Duty Black Ops II and started the campaign of Modern Warfare 3 when I didn't feel like playing futuristic battles no more. On the PC I made progress in Call of Duty Infinite Warfare (that was before the moment I didn't feel like playing futuristic battles). And in Far Cry 4 I took the first outpost of the game, which lead to the decision of the player character to join the Golden Path guerillas.
Mr.Mumbles: And I'm already onto Crysis 3 now. Gameplay-wise I actually like this already more than 2. Stealth kills are more satisfying, I don't have to bother collecting alien goop from kills for upgrades, sprinting does not gobble up energy... among other things. It looks even better still, but the grass looks kind of weird/funky under close scrutiny. The banter between the main characters makes this already better than the one-sided monologues of 2. There's some strange story inconsistency between the 2 and 3 since the actual Prophet shouldn't even be alive anymore, but it sure sounds like him in this game.
Makes me feel like installing it as well. I've played Crysis, Crysis Warhead and Crysis 2, but have yet to start playing Crysis 3. But I want to finish some other games first. I'm a chronic parallel gamer, I have lots of games installed at the same time. Before I install any more, I should finish some first.
