As much as Aliens vs Predator is an excellent game, it's really a shame that we can't have AVP2 here too...

How many games did you put into the basket?

I did also almost forgot, but in the last 3 minutes in finally remembered and did a checkout :)

I don't remember exactly but it's between 10 to 15 but all of them games that cost less than $5 each (some even goes for 50 cent) because I'm a cheapass. Even the most expensive is Broken sword and Rad Rodgers that cost 3 bucks each. To be honest me not spending $32 is kinda a relieve since in my local currency it's a pretty large amount of money and there's a part of my conscience telling me not to spend that much money on games and saving for a new pair of RAMs.

But winter sales is around the corner and my wallet is already sweating bullets......
I didn't know it closed at 7AM my time. I loaded up a VISA card *wink*.. again. To do some shopping. Closed an hour ago. Shucks. Oh well, I still haven't even downloaded the other games I purchased.
Well it looks like Playstation is gonna get my money this month. Some deals expire today.

So... Like... "Scifi shooters sale" and there is no Quake or Doom here, meanwhile there is a clear non-shooter, a parkour game at that, Mirror's Edge.
That's... Interesting...

ciemnogrodzianin: • $3.49 • -65% • SiN Gold

• $0.97 • -86% • Daikatana (mmmmaaaaaaayyyyyyybbeeeeeeee)
• $1.49 • -75% • Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death
I'll suggest these, however I've only actually played SiN Gold. (just seen gameplay of the others)

Oddly small sale, break time after Black Friday?
"Scifi shooters" sale, eh? Where is "Terminator: Resistance?" I mean, I've yet to see that puppy go on sale. And I have to wonder if non-owners even know that it's available here. Strange.

That's a pretty wise idea.

I recommend SiN as well. It's very much a 90s shooter, good variation in the levels, crazy humor and generally well executed. The training/tutorial (in-game virtual combat simulation) is crazy hard IIRC though, so just get into the story. May need some tweaking to get the controls to work the way you want, but you can rebind everything.

Judge Dredd is okay, IIRC controls are good and levels look interesting.. But just like the 2012 movie (and presumably the comics?), you play a reckless bad guy (Judge Dredd) without the game (or movie) really acknowledging that. That's probably the reason I just forgot about it and stopped playing after a while. Playing the bad guy can be interesting (take GTA or Carmageddon for example), but when the game fails to acknowledge that you are, in fact, the bad guy.. meh.

Heh, I got a bit luckier. I realized this morning that "till 1 December" didn't necessarily mean "till 1 December, 23:59:59", so I checked the news item and saw that it was now or never (I wouldn't really buy games from the office computer in office hours) and finally bought all the nine games from my wishlist that had gotten sufficiently discounted (my threshold is $6). The downside of which was that I was late to work (missing the right bus meant coming to work some horrifying 15 minutes late - oh, my!). Fortunately, I have an understanding boss, so I could tell him the truth, and he even praised me for using GOG over S..., erm, some other, DRM-heavy, stores. :-D
