Rich flavor, very low on calories.

Come for the beautifully drawn adventure games (like Deponia, The Pillars of the Earth, Memoria, Candle), stay for the involving strategy and RPG experiences with some action thrown in for good measure (think Shadow Tactics, Valhalla Hills, AER, The Long Journey Home).

The Daedalic Weekend Sale ends November 12th, 11pm UTC.

I really have problems supporting Daedalic because of the way they are treating GOG customers.

-Pillars of the Earth was always cheaper on Steam
- German language for Memoria and Chains of Satinav still missing after YEARS even though there's a multi language DRM-free version on humble
- Contact with the CEO Carsten Fichtelmann who wanted to sort this out just got silent
- Took months to get the Blackguards patch that fixed a game breaking bug to GOG

Don't get me wrong: when they released "Edna bricht aus" aka "Edna & Harvey - The Breakout" I became a big fan of them and Poki (aka Jan Müller Michaelis - creator of Edna and Deponia) but as so many companys they got bigger and even their support got worse with time. So we are now were we are. I still like Daedalic games but I have some problems with the company itself - maybe just because I remember how they were in the early days. Hey .. does that sound familiar? ;)

Anyway: State of Mind is a historical low on both Steam and GOG at the moment and it is a fair price imo as well so I could not help myself and grabbed it. So still thank you for the sale GOG and Daedalic and @Daedalic / @Carsten Fichtelmann: In case you should read this, maybe there are some minor things to learn from this? Hey, maybe you could even add the German language to two games that were developed in Germany and are available everywhere else but on GOG multi language?

That's the one single reason I haven't bought them yet. "Das Schwarze Auge" in English? No thanks.

We are still waiting those "more things" from "Poland's backyard", you know.

Why do you make such promises in promo, if you're not ready to fulfill them?

Three Polish localizations (Robin Hood, Lionheart and Broken Sword 4) are the only things that were added right after Call Of Juarez at the beginning of this week.

Both, Steel Rats™ and TSIOQUE are games developed in Poland ;)

Well, I guess there are no Pyl, Galador, Chrome or any other old Polish games for us then.

So sad.

I was in the mood for a good Settlers-esk game.

Doesn't look like I'm gonna find it here.

I think some of them were never released in English. I believe Książe i Tchórz (aka Galador) was only released in Polish, Geman and Russian. No idea about the others...

Chrome was released worldwide too. I still have my copy from 1C.

I think the problem is that many people (including me) decided that this "things from backyard" stuff means something old or even forgotten. And the appearance of Call Of Juarez only strengthened our confidence in it.

no.
I was referring to one of the games in the sale that looked like a great settlers type game, and it got me curious, but then I read the reviews. OY!
I already got all of these DRM-free from Humble for four dollars in one bundle.

Well, thank you for the reply. At least I can now stop to trying to figure out a puzzle that did never exist :D

I highly doubt that you really were able to get "all" for four dollars.

All the Daedalic pure adventure games (you know, with puzzles, inventory, conversations) are really good, at least until Silence.

My 2p.

Yep. All 72 games for four dollars. I'm pretty sure.
