Up to 80% off point'n'click tales worth telling: The Wolf Among Us, Moebius, Tex Murphy series, The Last Door, and more!

In every group worth its salt, there's always a storyteller. They might deal in funny stories, suspenseful stories, spooky stories, or even emotional stories but they make them all equally captivating. It's a gift. <span class="bold">Tales of Adventure</span> is full of games that share this gift. Adventure games have always been about rich worlds, unforgettable characters, and distinct storylines, interwoven with brain-teasing puzzles. And you would be hard-pressed to find better storytelling experiences than the adventures offered here, let alone the up to 80% discounts put on them.

Even if you don't particularly enjoy shooting wasteland wackos in the face, you really need to hear these Tales from the Borderlands. It's a rollercoaster ride of crazy antics, volatile character dynamics, and "no way!" moments that will make you miss Pandora the second it's over.

GK: Sins of the Fathers - 20th Anniversary Edition is the perfect reminder of why a timeless tale of voodoo, murder, and supernatural hunting never stops being fascinating, especially after it's received a bit of sprucing up.

opticq: Is this GOG only?
It seems to be affecting Telltale's version as well. No idea about the Steam one.
Just got wishlist email that bombshell is on sale but their is no mention on front page or weekend promo.
Game page shows 40% off
Is this a mistake?

I would pick latest Tex but it will not run on my PC ... Guess will choose some more classics from SW bundles, then...

I don't think it's a mistake. There is a similar discount on Steam till 9 May, so I assume that the developer wanted the discount to apply here as well, but GOG were probably not notified in advance and thus they didn't create a promo page for it.

Thanks. That explains it.
Is GoT still a buggy mess ? When I take a look on its forum, I see so much bad threads on its game-breaking bugs that I doubt that someone can play it without issues !
I recommend the Little Big Adventure series if you can handle "tank" controls and the system of checkpoints. They have a certain charm but they are challenging though.
They are unique games for sure.
Nice promo, but nothing for me right now. Savings is good!
Bought:

Moebius: Empire Rising
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers – 20th Anniversary Edition
Supreme League of Patriots: Season Pass
Tales from the Borderlands
Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People
Hector: Badge of Carnage
Puzzle Agent
Puzzle Agent 2

Didn't buy:

Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Game Series (too pricey)
The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça and Pizzaboy® (too pricey)

I have all the other promo games on GOG already.
Pfft, as if anyone's going to buy Telltale "games" with less than a 90% discount.

Don't know about it being last minute -- sometimes dev/publishers just like to do unannounced sales. There's a similar deal on right now for "All things <i>Hard West</i>". Maybe in some cases, it's GOG who deems a discount non-news(post)worthy, but in others, I do think that it's simply a matter of the dev/publisher wanting to do a low-key/"secret" promo. (In the case of Hard West's promo, F4LL0UT might know what's up (or be able to find out), if you're really curious, since he works for the developer.)
I decided to pass. I still have 4 Sherlock Holmes games so I won't need new adventure games soon. I will get them some other time

CJDJ: Some great games in this. I already own the Telltale series (bought through Telltale when they originally came out). I never had issues with the S&M games, which I'm one of the lucky few.
That is due to the fact that TTG introduced the bug (invisible Sybill) after they updated the actual downloadable version to be DRM-free. The bug also does not occur on the collector's DVD but the collector's DVD copy protection does not work on newer systems. So if you have played the game using the old non DRM-free downloadable versions from TTG the bug was not there at all. I also bought them when TTG made them available and played through them without any problems. Without the mention of the bug here on GOG I never would have known that TTG had introduced this bug at a later time.

I have played through the game using the TTG version of it (it was before it was available here) and I have not experienced any issue (Win7/64). The only issue I had was with TTG servers whenever a new episode was released ;)

The difference is that Hard West has a banner on the main page and a promo link. Bombshell (which was discounted after Hard West) has neither, which leads me to believe that by the time the developers asked GOG to discount the game, there was none at the office who could create a promo page.

Thank you for your answer. I guess the GOG version is not as perfect as the TTG version.
