That FMV-laden, "interactive movie" garbage from those dark days when publishers thought what people wanted from a game was bad writing and acting at 480p intermittently broken up by periods of QTEs?

I'm not really sure that's catering to the market here, but if you want it, you should start a wishlist entry.

I expected better manners from the GOG community in welcoming a new member.

Welcome! Here the best way to have your voice heard is by voting for games and features in the wishlist.

Others seem to agree with you, since a page for Black Dahlia already exists with over 1000 votes: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/black_dahlia.

Haven't played it myself, but considering GOG has Daikatana, nothing should preclude it from being here.

I have the retail version, but never installed it. Story of my life. It is not high on my priority list, many many other games have higher priority. I should finally play Mechwarrior 3 properly for instance, or Heavy Gear 2.

Is the game that awful ? There's some enthousiastic fans on that wishlist page. Are they keaning us ?

It's been over fifteen years since i played it (not finished it though) but i recall it was a decent game. Maybe i'm wrong about it since I wasn't a fan of adventure games back then and my only experience with them were Phantasmagoria & Under a Killing Moon - both of them were great games and i enjoyed them. Maybe the reason i didn't finish Black Dahlia was my boredom after having played the aforementioned games? Maybe it paled in comparison with them? Can't really remember..

The game is a pretty fine point and click adventure game actually. One of the best of it's era. The wank up above that lumps the game in with other FMV games and QTE's hasn't played it. It has no QTE's that I remember and the acting is some of the best of it's time and it has some pretty good puzzles as well. It's very long though for an old point and click game.

I'm not looking through rose colored glasses either, it was last year that I played it.

And since 2K even have some games here now, it's not unreasonable to think it could come here, and the OP possibly has a point to draw some attention to it. But like usual the old timer forum royalty tossers give him there usual welcome.
