Yes. Spambot has been reported as soon as he started flooding the forum with spam. Unfortunately, we (Mods) cannot delete threads yet.

Hopefully that "yet" is a signifier that you'll be able to sooner than later (or not at all). Or even just being able to move the junk out of view of the main discussion would work so the people who can delete it can come back from their cruller and caffeine breaks and nuke at will.

Old respected users cannot post links here, because bots reduced their Rep below zero. At the same time newly created user can open 27 topics in his first half an hour. Yes, this makes sense, GOG...

I recomend to forum users do not report those posts as spam. Yesterday did it for some of them and that shit reproduces itself instantly like a virus. All the week with this thing.

To stop abuse of their power especially if they do it for free.
Some sort of limitation before being allowed to delete would help if gog staff wanted to implement it,such as a minimum amount of spam reports from other long term users or if the thread is from a fresh spammer or one that's been hiding.


I expect it will get worse with the coming of cyberpunk.

The ideal solution would be to just allow them to hide posts instead of deleting them, so other staff could verify at any time if the mods acted correctly.
(except for maybe theads\posts created by brand new users, like in the case of spammers)

Suggestion :

- make a backup from the forum on a server
- delete this hipster forum software from your hard drive
- install a better forum software ( maybe SMF )
- converrt your forum to the new one
- don't let the first post of a new member visible until it is approved by a moderator
- implementing the Q&A system over a CAPTCHA
