I don't get why the GOG forums seem such a necessary place to spam specialist black magic...
Can't there be some captcha or something put in place for signup to GOG? Or something that would restrict this? I'm assuming it is a bot.

Or maybe have it so that a spanking new member can't start more than 3 threads at a time?

EDIT: Okay, I tried googling the telephone number. This guy is spamming LOTS of forums!

EDIT2: Well, waddya know. Here's his Facebook page. Maybe getting him banned from Facebook would be possible? Sure, he can just create a new account, but it'd inconvenience him at least. Probably. Possibly. Maybe...

Problem being that Facebook admins are probably way faster at removing stuff than people here. There is a report button on the page, pity it doesn't have "spamming" as a reason.

Surely, as I mentioned earlier, some beefier security at our end (captchas for signing up, and posting limits on new posters) would be the way to go?

For the record, that was just a joke. At least a captcha for signing up would be a good thing, if there isn't one already.

JudasIscariot: Yes, there are actual people from India here and having a countrywide IP ban would affect innocent people. We shouldn't let the actions of some spammers hurt those who have nothing to do with this sort of thing.
That's one of the reasons I love you guys. It was a real PITA when I was in China and so many websites would have blanket ban on Chinese IPs.

listen to this man , ban em all , oh wait ....nvm

internet is in a poor state here , hence its abused by many for spam and ads crap , the main problem is internet is so bad that they don't allocate static ip's here . if hes using the same govt isp i am using then i might get the ip he used somewhere down the line , i can already see cloud flares kicking me out of most sites that have them.

if the spam situation goes from bad to worse and is unstoppable except for massive ip bans , i am willing to take a arrow to the knee for gog :) a few days offline did not hurt anyone
