Christ, these constant Love specialist Papa Joe or whatever the fuck threads are really starting to get annoying: can't GOG just ban all IPs from India and solve the problem once and for all? I mean, are there really any actual customers here from India, that would suffer if they did that?

First of all you can change your location to any country that you want, and why would you punish a whole country for some spammer? I'm glad you're not the admin round here :p

Dev is aware of the new wave of spammers; they're working on a fix.

Frankly, given that they can't post links, I can't imagine what they think they'll get out of it except for crapping all over a perfectly good forum. :(

Zurvan7: First of all you can change your location to any country that you want, and why would you punish a whole country for some spammer? I'm glad you're not the admin round here :p
Not to mention that the computers sending the spam are probably infected with malware and made part of some botnet so the owner probably does not even know their computer is used to send spam. Botnets often also consist of from thousands to hundreds of thousands of computers making it near impossible to ip block all of them.

We've fined tuned a bit the spam filters and it should be better now.
