Vainamoinen: I think GOG should adopt the Double Fine forum's rules.
GOG should adopt a rule of "be nice". If you do something that others don't appreciate - be nice and don't shove it into their face. I did awesome work with gays, which simply were nice and did not interfere into my tastes.
Erpy: Unless it's two hot women making out, of course. Somehow homophobia never seems to apply to those cases. :P
Nah, I don't like lesbians either.
DaCostaBR: Shouldn't this go both ways then?
People complain about a game with underage girls in skimpy clothing and others fire back with "It's the creators' decision, they are free to create the art that they wish to create. Stop whining."
Then someone makes a game with a woman in the lead role, or with a gay character in it, suddenly those same people won't stop whining: "They are trying to push their agenda on us! We have to make a stand!".
It's one or the other mate.
No, because its a perversion. If this wouldn't be one - then yes. Perversions are when something happens against the nature* of things (I mean tao here, not trivial black/white religions), for example eating food through fingertips or talking via flapping of ears and using mouth to hear instead. Perversions usually happen unconsciously due to some kind of illness. Everyone has some illnesses and deviations, mostly balance themself out - nobody should be punished for it, only exceptional illnesses require patients to be isolated ... its all very debatable topic.
Do you know the
tea analogy? This is what I mean, this is not the natural way of drinking tea (a perversion), not the way I drink tea and I have full right to deny it. Form groups, drink tea like this, make games about it - I don't care, I don't hate or dislike anyone for it, but its not my way of doing it. I don't support nor appreciate all this reverse-exorcism, where witches hunt and hang the villagers...
