But rtcvb's thread is full of lies and slander about things actually important. It really is no different than if he made a thread to share the Protocols of the Elders of Zion with us. I think a line must be drawn. People tried to discuss his accusations with him, but he just ignored them. What he wants is a podium, a lectern to preach his gospel of misinformation. He should not be provided one by this community.

Nominally I agree with you, but what else can we do? we cant ban him from the community otherwise we risk him reporting this to the alex jones congregration and we risk them coming here to futher shit up the forum, and being hypocritical about the freedom of speech, because while that freedom grants him the right to speak, it does not protect what he says from being challenged, which you and others are doing. But all I can say is keep it up, even if HE chooses to ignore you, maybe others wont. you cant always plug source of misinformation, but by providing a dissident voice you can fight it, dont mistake my allowing is thread to exist as approval, its more...containment is the best I can say.

And yet when I've provided information and good resources for my arguments they go totally silent... Not much to discuss then apparently. But more than enough for them to spam junk replies several screens long one after the other, and downvote every post I put even if it's talking about avocados.

Daily news and information from outlets that aren't totally under a monopoly control are lies and slander apparently. I'd bet they don't go over the articles either to confirm, or watch the videos talking and linking things together. No it's far easier to call me a conspiracy theorist and they win by default somehow.

But you also have to ask yourself "can I really believe in this?" "and what will cost me?"

I personally have seen nothing or gotten a hint that what he says is false. Early in the week before I started the thread I paused the videos so many times and looked up articles and found exactly what he was referring to. I also remember hearing about some of the topics like about sodium fluoride from when I was a kid in the 90's while listening to a distributed tape.

As for what it costs me... at worst it costs me my rep here, which is down from 1124 from when I started.

A lot of it comes down to how critical you are of sources. A quote may be cited correctly, but the work cited may not itself be properly researched or may be an opinion piece. I asked you earlier in the thread what is it about the cited evidence that makes you think is the undoubted truth. You must be equally critical of both sources cited by the mainstream media and your minor outlet of choice. Think like a judge on deciding on a murder trial and assess whether the evidence was enough to kill or free man. When you're talking about issues so huge and claims so tall, nothing less than the absolute truth will do.

Again, that's why I ask you to be more detailed and less spammy with your posts. If you're watching and linking everything anyway, then at least put classify some into a group of events / stories that you think are 100% and absolutely true and link and discuss the sources.

You should know that if what you post is true, they will stand up to criticism. And severe criticism of sources is absolutely necessary in academics and law for eg, where they're also trying to find the truth. Basically, you need very strong overwhelming evidence, so please post those news-items of which you think the sources are most credible.
