It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

cyboff: looks good and works great in FF! Can somebody maybe improve it to the way checkbox is checked by default? It's easier to uncheck non-spam subforums ;)

cyboff: quite tired of this ... yesterday BG, NWN, TW2 subforums were cleared, today again tens of pages of spam.. .

HunchBluntley: Bam War. Bam War never changes.
:D - well, with lazy admins-perfectionists :D
also noticed M&M and Fallout subforums are under attack again too... and it can be worse when bots do more scanning..

now that's great tool for these days! Thank you!
BUT guys be careful with this and check twice if you don't have "good" non-spam subforum checked!

Yes, please be very careful!
Also I had FF crash once when testing, possibly by alert-overload.
Fallout forum under heavy barrage, multiple pages full and more coming in as we speak.

Does that script work on Chrome? How? (Please excuse my ignorance in this matters).

It's intended for a "bookmarklet".
1. Make your bookmarks bar visible.
2. Create a new Bookmark
3. Enter a name and instead of an URL the code (beginning with javascript:)
4. Open the FO subforum (or TW2, BG, NWN, M&M...) and click the bookmarlet to run the script.

Scripts:
http://pastebin.com/5igxmQ6v - This one will allow you to select spam threads and mark them.
http://pastebin.com/FwajrBme- This one will preselect all threads on the current page. Careful! Be sure to deselect all legit threads before hitting that spam button!

I recommend using Firefox, since every single spam report creates an alert window. Those block Chrome, but FF allows to work on (i.e. hit F5 or CTRL-R). Haven't tested in Chrome this time, it's too unwieldy due to the alert-problem. But should work in principle.
I'm using it in Chrome without any problem. It slows things down a bit, but it's still faster than doing it the other way. Just have to remember how many spam threads I selected, then click through that many popups. Seems to work pretty well.

Chrome allows you to disable multiple pop-ups ("Thank you" windows) , so with those bookmarklets it's actually better...

It works fine, thanks a lot!
I can't believe this is still a thing. It's sooo last week. ...And the week before that.

This is awesome! BG is now two whole pages less spam because of this. Thank you very much.

Thanks, but it's a finger in the dike if you look at the other forums, esp. TW2...

Yeah, I'm there now. Still, if more responsible people use this...

Edit: TW2 is now also two whole pages less spam... in no time at all.

I marked all the spam threads in the general forum, the Might and Magic forum and the Fallout forum. But I won't even start marking anything in the The Witcher 2 or the Baldur's Gate forum.

Come on GOG, do something about it. This can't be handled by the community alone any longer!
I marked every single spam, in all of the sub-forums, with toxicTom's new multi script in a matter of ~10 minutes (wasn't keeping count), and that includes 12 whole pages in W2. Magic.
Witcher2 is down from 12 pages of spam to just 3, thanks, I guess, to toxicTom's new script. Keep it up, peeps.
