Will this is certainly a shocker.

And now we wait for the inevitable 40k overhaul mod.

Or the Lord of the Rings mod

And personally for me, A Warcraft mod.

Whats the DRM on total warhammer, Steam isn't it? So mods will be through Workshop.

Non workshop methods are available and frequently used by all the big modders, and there is a mod manager built into the game. Otherwise they get pestered by people who [''cough''pirated''cough''] can't get SWS to work.

eww... poor game. But that answers why I have no clue what it is. Did a quick peek by entering "Warhammer" to see what gog has. Only 4 games. That is, maybe. Man-O-War is not allowed to be called Warhammer? Would be a 5th one.

Does gog has other Warhammer games that have not Warhammer in its title?
This will be epic. More 40K stuff will definitely come out. If anyone's gonna make a LOTR one though, they'd probably stick with the pre-TW3 engine games or at least limit up to Shogun 2 since everything after doesn't allow custom campaign maps. Same with 40K as well, most likely.

I feel like I wanna say I want an AoE2 one, but that won't make sense. Either way, here's prayers for a WC one although Blizzard will probably nuke it when they get wind of it.

No Total War games on here. But they have only one DRM and a built in option for non workshop mod managing.

Should they either release offline DRM retail or here on gog I might consider them. Otherweise the combination of big back log + full time job allows me to be extremely picky.

Not sure I understand? ALl the way up to and including Total War Medieval 2 the games were fine to run off disc, after that they went all Steam, is that the one DRM you mention? As for built in mod management, well not seen a good implementation of that on any game, even EScrolls - so TPV manager would be the main thing, but then with the DRM that probably wouldn't work.

Currently, since there aren't many disks of those around, you have to get them on Steam and that's the only account login you need to do. I said single DRM because after Bethesda jumped into this, it seems all the big publishers have one.

Its good for using pre-donwloaded mods you pasted to the data folder. Sometimes it screws up downloads from workshop though. Other than that, its just a simple one-tick-to-activate-mods mod manager.

Yeah they even recently patched the first and second in the series(Shogun 1 and Med1) for modern OSes but didn't release those shiny fossils on GOG.

Thanks for confirming. I will avoid then. I have several copies of the discs - actually going to be selling some off at some point, so will keep my big box collection ones. No interest in steam or any of its features.
I have this one, which I added TW Medieval 2 too.

I wouldn't recommend getting any collection newer than that as its all steam keys.

I searched for boxed copies of all TWs, but only the newer ones are sold where I live. So my M2TW is in steam as well; as is my Rome 1. You get steam MP with those though, which can be good.
I am so gonna play as Bretonnia.

Empire is too OP with their gunpowered weapons and steam engined War machines like Tanks.

Also going to be when they are implemented as they seem hoplessly outmatched by everyone apart from Dwarves and Empire but are somehow still around. Also their knights look cool. So hyped for Warhammer.

I just can'y wait for the other factions like the 3 Elven races, Ogre Kingdoms, and Daemons of Khorne.
I'm quite excited about this mod support and probably sway my opinions of the game. As it stands I'm not buying because of high price, but will probably change it due to mod support.

My stance exactly. Will buy after discount and mods.
