It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Thanks for warning.
This new browser called Brave does not offer 32-bit builds, unfortunately.
I guess I'll switch to Seamonkey then.

Fair enough, but who is late and why should he care in particular?

tinyE: Fake News = News you don't like
And that's the crux of the problem. If Firefox starts censoring out Fake New, someone might rightfully fear they end up censoring News They Don't Like.

This might actually have been an interesting topic to discuss, if had made a [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etiquette_in_technology#Netiquette]proper , with a summary and [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperlink]link(s) at the end, instead of the one he made.
And if he hadn't then asked for a politics-free discussion after making a politically-charged post.
As it is, I'm staying out.

Lin545: Summary: Firefox will include an AI censorship system, which will decide for you what you will be shown.
none of the links you posted supports that statement
all that there is right now is a announcement from Mozilla that they'll launch the Mozilla Information Trust Initiative (MITI).
all that they do in that statement is throwing lots of buzzwords and empty PR phrases at you
.. develop new technology ..., educate and empower users ... research .. creative interventions ... Virtual Reality... partnering ... networking ... summits ....events ... bla bla bla

a whole lot of nothing for the normal user who simply uses firefox as a browser.
call me again if there is anything concrete coming up. So far that's just PR noise.

OP posts a sensationalist thread title. OP then proceeds to request that the thread be kept "politics-free" before ranting on with his own conspiracy theorist politics, showing us all what a hypocritical cunt the OP is.

Thanks, I will double check the statements you highlighted.

Edit: expanding the statements::

Claim: "Firefox will include an AI censorship system, which will decide for you what you will be shown."

Your claim: "none of the links you posted supports that statement"

Proof: Source
"Product ... Mozilla’s Open Innovation team will ... develop technology that combats misinformation."
"Coral is a Mozilla project that builds open-source tools to make digital journalism more inclusive and more engaging" >> "The Coral Project is ... the Mozilla Foundation, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, <span class="bold">funded by a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.</span>" &gt;&gt; [url=http://Source]Source Source.

The "Technology" is an automated censoring mechanism, AI, which development is linked to funds from Soros.

Claim: "Some big news, unless you already know them."

Your claim: "throwing lots of buzzwords and empty PR phrase"

Proof: it is big enough that they dedicate whole clearly structured article, to outline their vector of actions, involving Mozilla Foundation and Soros funds. These are serious organizations. Per definition, it is not empty or buzz because software projects mentioned on that page are already developed.

Claim: "a whole lot of nothing for the normal user who simply uses firefox as a browser."

Proof: The automatic censorship is important enough to be mentioned. I am using firefox as a browser since around 2005.

ZFR, with all respect, your links are substance-empty.

I understand that you question the way I posted, please create a new post with proper formating and etiquette, then I will change the OP to the better version.

"politically-charged post" Where is it politically charged? If you claim that I have posted something incorrect, then please correct me. Thanks.

Yeah, some people claim that there is disrespect, but don't exactly mention where, instead they grab the forks and torches. I call this disrespect. :/

I don't think George Soros is antisemitic? But if you dislike something by content, which I assume is this thread, why not just leave? Instead you walk in and leave a turd? You call your action educated? Mission complete?

This thread is about censorship system developed in widely used software, so it does belong on the gaming forum.

it does
a) nowhere say that Coral is going to end up in Firefox
b) The Coral Project is a collaborative effort to improve community on news sites through open-source software. Start in our Docs repo to view our documentation. [ taken from here ]
look at the stuff hosted there: Wordpress plugins, html/Js project to to handle comments, forms, galleries,
I see nothing there that even makes sense in a Webbrowser.

And I still don't see where you got that idea about an "automated censoring AI"

Not him , i mean the hungarian government .
Excellent, nice to see Mozilla are trying to do something about misinformation & the problems it causes. Yet another thing to add to the list of reasons to use Firefox.
