Hi guys I'm a noob... What are the dimensions or form factor for the CD cases I should buy? I've seen different sizes, and I don't know what's the exact type of box I need for these prints.

Typically these covers are designed for a standard DVD case, I don't own an Xbox Series X nor a PS5 so I cannot speak to the dimensions of those cases versus a DVD / Blu-Ray case. When printing, make sure that the left/right margins are 3 millimeters and the top/bottom margins are 15.5 millimeters. How to do this differs based on the image program used; it may be in the 'Page Properties,' 'Settings,' or even the Print menu. (An online search for how to proceed would be my advice).

Hey man thanks for the margin values, but I think I also need to know the paper dimensions like in the image I share, because if I keep the same values you mention, the result would still be different based on the dimensions of paper.

I use standard Letter-sized paper for my prints; looking at your chart the closest size would be A4 although the width is slightly smaller and the height a little taller than Letter (8.5" * 11").

My advice would be to buy some cheap paper and ink at first and do some test prints; the margins I've provided work well enough with Letter size but A4 may - or may not - require a little tinkering to fit in the DVD cover sleeve. Once you have the margins figured out (and recorded for yourself for later on) try experimenting with different paper and ink to get a better-quality print. I don't mess with higher-quality ink but I do like spending extra on high-quality photo sheet paper to get a stiff-backed, higher-quality print. Taste is highly subjective, though, so if the prints look good enough for you then it's perfect.

Do you know that the original DVD covers and DVD boxes last longer than DVDs?
And that the original cover is blank on the inside, ready to be printed with your covers?
Box can be filled in many ways, with book, CD, DVD, SD card, USB flash disk, and portable SSD after some custom work...
All fit in DVD box... You are responsible for recycling thousands of plastic DVD boxes, saving this planet efficiently.

Can I ask for the Baldur's Gate Trilogy DVD cover? Original saga 1+2+ToB+BGT104; Box will contain SDXC card, flash USB drive, DVDisc, and a Booklet.

Can I also ask for a DVD cover for the Gothic Saga + Gothic 2 Vanilla + Night of the Raven + Gothic 2 Gold inc NotR + Gothic 3 clean? The Box will contain two DVDs, an SDXC card, a flash USB drive, and a little Book.

I will print it, prepare the boxes with mediums, photo it, and report it back here to you. ^

Do most folk who use this service, want the whole DVD cover thing, front and back?
Or do most just want the front cover.

If just the front cover, you can easily get that via the thumbnail image in your library, with a bit of editing.

For instance, with latest free game - Chicken Assassin: Reloaded

Right-click the thumbnail, and select copy image address (or similar).

If I remove that trailing '_196', I get a very much bigger landscape image. That's what I use for the game folder, renamed to 'Folder.jpg'.

Another Method
Go to the game page, right-click it and choose 'Source'.

Near the top, you should see some 'meta property' entries.

For this game, if you want the landscape image, look for the following - <meta property="og:image" content="
which then has the following.

The covers were originally designed for the "Standard" DVD cases with the clear plastic outer layer.

(I'm not recommending these just posting as an example.)

The issue was/is that the exact dimensions can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. There is a small grey band at the top and bottom of my covers to allow for trim-to-fit situations. The posted cover dimensions are smaller than is required so you would need to find the printing instructions as you need to enlarge the cover image during the printing process.

Here is a link to my very, very, very outdated 2011 printing instructions which may give you a good starting point. Post is about half way down the page. I don't intend to update the info as there are just too many printing variations possible depending on the printer/application used. It's also expensive to buy/burn/print/store CD/Bluray media. It is also wasteful in,depending on the media chosen, you will have lots of wasted free space (small game exe's) or not enough space (large game exe's GB's????) which requires multiple disks for backup. These covers are designed for single disk cases.

I stopped storing my games on DVD's several years ago and recommend you get a good external hard drive for that purpose. I just save the cover jpg's with my game files as a way to remember the original game box cover. I try to stay as close as possible to the original cover but that's not always possible. Also I like as MUCH game info on the back cover image as possible so when I find the game exe years later the saved covers can be very helpful.
