Hey all. Just wanted to give an update on behalf of gogcovers.com.

I have decided to close out my website hosting account and that will affect the gogcovers.com site.

The domain registration itself will expire on 2021-08-29. And the hosting will expire shortly afterwards.

If anyone wants to take up the mantle of hosting gogcovers.com, let me know prior to 2021-08-29 so that I can begin working on a transition plan. Please send me a PM if you are interested.

Hopefully, we can find somebody to continue hosting the site. I can´t, because I have too many projects and limited free time :(

Damn capitalism. Nothing is free of cost nowadays :(
I wonder, if Gog would give us some server space... But I´m too naive in such things.

Sorry to hear this. You, apparently single-handed, created the largest collection of GOG covers available. An effort no one else was willing to make. I have often enjoyed browsing the collection you have assembled. Your site will be missed. Thanks for all your hard work over the years.

Hoping someone will be willing to continue your efforts. =)

The site hosting has been deactivated. I wasn't getting anywhere with transferring ownership, although one person did reach out, but we were unsuccessful in migrating hosts.

Over the course of a few days in Spring 2017 I tried to manually archive every single cover on the website with archive.org. After making it to Dungeons 2 I took another break and then forgot about my project. I didn't see that the website was going to be deregistered until too late (now) or I would have finished the effort. Do you think Yepolab could maybe include a section for covers on his gogdb.org site?
