I've fallen behind on my cover collection from here. Thank you Stuff for keeping up on the games and providing us with some wonderful covers.
gbaz69: Gog needs to at least have large art for us to use as front covers (before we add text/icons/etc.).
That way we can make an automated (or near auto) process to create covers.
It woud only need to grab the info from the game's url/page, and use the users sytling/placement.
(where each field/box one could make bigger/smaller by clicking and gragging on its sides)
I wish they would include a High Resolution cover of the thumbnails they use for our virtual shelf I imagine they would have a better chance directly from the publisher then we do trying to find a quality image on the web. A click on the cover thumbnail on the gamecard would be a good place to access them.
Stuff: Thanks, i prefer to only use the text / info from the GOG game cards. I
assume they are really, really accurate ; ) The GOG cover image res is too low to use for the DVD covers so I use the highest res I can find on the interwebs. I usually don't make cover for the old releases but a wave of nostalgia swept over me and I could not resist. = )
JudasIscariot: The GOG Wiki uses the official text, if you're talking about the overview. The What's Cool about it bits I can provide, if need be :)
Or if you don't trust the wiki, then I can provide all the text and info you need :)
Is there any Archive of Gamecards for GOG games no longer sold? It would be nice to have access to the What's Cool, and the Color and B&W Banners.
